Sigma Technology IT Group has become one of the selected consulting companies that have entered into a new framework agreement with the National Procurement Services within the central government agency Kammarkollegiet. The agreement enters into force in August 2025 and runs for four years.

Kammarkollegiet (the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency) acts as an investment manager, purchaser, insurer and legal agency for the central government. The National Procurement Services department at Kammarkollegiet is responsible for procurement activities in Sweden, which includes authorities, regions, municipalities and other public actors, to streamline procurement for frequently purchased goods and services.

The procurement of IT consulting services for Operational IT needs includes services in business development, requirements, usability, and accessibility. Kammarkollegiet pays special attention to how suppliers work with sustainability, accessibility, information security, e-commerce, and supply security. After a rigorous tender process, Sigma Technology IT Group was selected as one of the nine approved suppliers.

“Kammarkollegiet prioritizes suppliers who consider environmental and social responsibility, aligning with the government’s procurement strategy, Agenda 2030, and the national environmental goals. This makes us especially proud to be one of the chosen suppliers. With our solid expertise in digitalization and digital inclusion, we look forward to contributing to Sweden’s digital development,” says Anna Nyblin, Bid Manager at Sigma Technology IT Group.

The framework agreement with Kammarkollegiet further strengthens Sigma Technology’s commitment to becoming Sweden’s leading IT provider for the public sector. Earlier this year, Sigma Technology signed agreements with Region Jönköpings Län, CSN, the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, and the Norwegian Veterinary Institute.

“Our strategic focus within the public sector is to build long-term relationships with our clients to drive digitalization projects. With our broad delivery capacity and capability, we can assist public sector organizations in ensuring the quality of their digital and sustainable initiatives. Winning the framework agreement with Kammarkollegiet is an important milestone for us,” says Johan Edlund, CEO of Sigma Technology IT Group.

The first version of JordMod™ – the AI-based simulation tool for deep drilling developed in collaboration between Jordkraft, Sigma Technology Insight Solutions, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) – is now being released.
The tool will play a significant role in streamlining and reducing costs in the development of geothermal electricity production.

“JordMod helps us streamline our processes on several levels,” says Jordkraft’s CEO Jessica Friberg. “We can more quickly identify where it is ideal to drill, as well as how deep we need to go to reach the desired temperature. We save a lot of time and can offer more precise calculations and a more cost-effective solution.”

Jordkraft develops technology to harness the heat in the Earth’s crust to produce fossil-free electricity, completely independent of weather and wind conditions. In short, the technology involves leading water down into a deep-drilled hole where it is transformed into steam, which then rises upwards and drives a turbine above ground.

How deep you need to drill to reach the ideal temperature depends on the particular bedrock at the location in question. This can now be calculated in advance thanks to the AI solution JordMod. In the project, researchers at KTH contribute knowledge about how geological data should be interpreted to calculate the temperature.

Sigma Technology Insight Solutions, which developed the tool, sees great opportunities for accelerating technological innovations and the green transition with the help of AI.

“In a way, we’re digitalizing expert knowledge. By leveraging AI, we can structure and package the vast volumes of research data, making it more accessible, actionable, and applicable,” says Robert Åberg, President at Sigma Technology Insight Solutions.

“We are now looking forward to continuing our long-term, strategic collaboration with Jordkraft. Geothermal electricity production has great potential to become an important part of the energy mix of the future.”

The next step is to gradually fill the tool with more geological data – a long-term effort aimed at improving both precision and usability in different geographical areas.

Sigma Technology, a leading tech consultancy, has been named one of Sweden’s Best Managed Companies for the seventh consecutive year, reaching the Platinum level – a prestigious milestone awarded by Deloitte and Swedbank to organizations demonstrating long-term strategic excellence, operational strength, and outstanding company culture.

The Sweden’s Best Managed Companies Award, established by Deloitte in 2018, celebrates privately owned Swedish companies that excel in four key areas: strategy, operational execution, culture, and governance. This year, 17 companies received the award, with Sigma Technology among the few to achieve Platinum status.

We see this recognition not as a destination, but as a reflection of our chosen direction,” says Carl Vikingsson, President and CEO of Sigma Technology Group. “It speaks to our ability to evolve with time, guided by a shared ambition to stay relevant and resilient in this fast-changing world.”

Sigma Technology has long been a TOP 3 provider in Cloud, Digital Transformation, Product Information, and Embedded & Software Design, while also promoting inclusion and social impact through initiatives like university and internship cooperations, Young Talent programs, and Femmegineering. Building on this foundation, the company is expanding into new areas such as ERP advisory, CIO services, license management, warehouse digitalization, AI solutions, and Digital Product Passports.

Carl Vikingsson comments further: “Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It grows at the intersections between industries, technologies, and people. That’s why we are focused on connecting the knowledge from our more established fields with fast-developing areas like AI or sustainable tech. These intersections are where new ideas emerge and we see real value being created, not just in what we deliver, but in how we work together across our entire organization.

What I’m most proud of is not just what we have achieved, but how,” Carl adds. “We have built a culture where people take ownership, where collaboration is a natural part of how we work, and where the drive to lead is balanced by a willingness to listen and learn.”

In a time when many organizations talk about transformation, we are doing the ongoing work of transformation every day, across teams, countries, and sectors.”

“Platinum status means a lot. But more importantly, it confirms that our path with the collective effort, curiosity, and responsible growth is the right one.”

Sigma Technology’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability has earned it the titles of Best Managed Company and TOP 3 Sweden’s Best Employer, solidifying its reputation as a secure employer and stable partner in the technology industry.

We are proud to present the award to these 17 companies, all of which demonstrate strong leadership, a clear strategic agenda, and well-functioning processes. Unlisted, private companies account for a large part of our workforce, our revenues, and a vibrant business community, and constitute an important building block in the Swedish economy. We are therefore especially pleased to present the award for best-managed companies to these entrepreneurs“, says Lina Thörn, partner at Deloitte and responsible for Best Managed Companies in Sweden.

Sigma Technology Embedded Network is proud to announce that the “Safer TMA Shutdowns at Roadworks” project has been awarded second place in the prestigious SBUF Innovation of the Year Award 2024. The recognition highlights our commitment to engineering safer infrastructure through intelligent technology and marks a milestone for both the team and project manager Sara Dalvig, for whom this was her debut project leadership role.

Held in Stockholm on May 7th, the SBUF award ceremony celebrated the most impactful innovations in Sweden’s construction and infrastructure sectors. Notably, this year’s event made history as all three top finalists were led by women, for the first time in the award’s 24-year history.

Sara Dalvig, consultant at Sigma Technology Embedded Network and project manager of the nominated solution, shares: “Sometimes work is even more fun than usual, like when you attend SBUF’s event in Stockholm, celebrating research and innovation in our industry. I’m incredibly honoured to receive second place for my very first project as a project manager!
The project explored how to use radar, cameras, and alarms to improve road safety during temporary lane closures, an area where too many lives are at risk. I’m also forever grateful to Sigma Technology Embedded Network and Svevia for the opportunity, support, and trust throughout the journey.

Danilo Chinchilla Sosa, President at Sigma Technology Embedded Network, comments: “Seeing Sara receive second place for her very first project is inspiring and a testament to the strength of our talent and our commitment to empowering the next generation of engineers and leaders. We’re also incredibly proud to be part of a historic moment where all finalists were women, showing that progress in innovation must also reflect progress in representation.”

The solution, developed in collaboration with Svevia, addresses a critical challenge in roadwork safety by equipping TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicles with intelligent monitoring systems. These vehicles are essential for protecting road crews but are often involved in severe accidents. The project’s innovation is reducing collision risks using real-time data and automated alerts.

Sigma Technology welcomes Lars Altergård as Senior Advisor to lead its new ERP Advisory offering. With 20+ years of experience, Lars will support companies in digitally transforming their warehouse and supply chain operations responding to growing demand for efficiency, automation, and strategic guidance across the Scandinavian market.

Across the Nordics, the logistics and warehouse sector are rapidly evolving. E-commerce growth, sustainability pressures, and rising customer expectations push companies to modernize their inventory and fulfillment processes. According to recent market insights, the European warehouse automation sector is growing at a CAGR of 15.1%, signaling a strong shift toward digital supply chain infrastructure and investment in scalable, technology-driven solutions.

We see a clear acceleration in how companies approach warehouse and logistics operations, and here’s the bottom line, you can’t achieve supply chain excellence with disconnected systems” says Karin Andreasson, President at Sigma Technology ERP Advisory. “If your warehouse, ERP and e-commerce platforms aren’t fully aligned, you’re not just missing efficiency, you’re losing speed, visibility and control. Lars brings vast experience in warehouse operations and we’re able to connect it all, from warehouse to web, so our clients’ operations run as one, with clarity and confidence.

The newly introduced ERP offering by Sigma Technology is designed to help companies optimize and future-proof their supply chain operations by implementing or upgrading Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and other core digital platforms. As an independent, vendor-neutral advisor, Sigma Technology ERP Advisory supports clients throughout the entire transformation journey, from needs assessment and technology selection to implementation and training.

I’m thrilled to join Sigma Technology and contribute to this new chapter,” says Lars Altergård, Senior Consultant at Sigma Technology ERP Advisory. “The complexity of modern supply chains demands more than just good systems—it requires a strategic, business-aligned approach. My goal is to help organizations bridge the gap between their operational needs and the right digital tools, ensuring they get real value out of their investments. I look forward to working with clients to define clear strategies, guide implementations, and drive impactful results across the supply chain.

With this new business area, Sigma Technology continues its mission to empower companies with digital expertise, practical guidance, and technology solutions tailored to the realities of the Scandinavian market.
